NATURE EXPERIENCES

SUNRISE AND STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN WALK

You'll experience Madeira's most famous and unique sunrise, up in the mountains at  Pico Areeiro (1818m).

Pick up is at Funchal's meeting point - Cristiano Ronaldo's Hotel/Museum entrance, 1 hour before the sunrise followed by a 35-40 minutes transfer to Pico Areeiro.

Once at Pico Areeiro, we'll provide a short briefing and hand enough headlamps to light our group's first minutes of walking.

​

We'll enter the trail that connects the highest peaks in the island and our night walk begins. On the way to our sunrise spot we'll visit Ninho da Manta's viewpoint and the famous Stairways to Heaven ridge.

​

Once the sun is up and pictures are taken we follow the same way back contemplating the unique symbiosis between the golden hour and the mountainous scenario.
